Abstract

Swallow House (RBW) is a building concept used as a place for swallows to nest and breed. Swallow cultivation is a form of investment and employment. In the care of swallow farmers it is necessary to pay attention to how the quality of the environment such as; Room temperature, lighting to building acoustics to provide comfort to swallows. However, some swallow farmers still do not know how the appropriate system can produce nests. This paper aims to discuss how the swallow house system can create comfort for swallows to live with technology and concepts specifically designed to provide an atmosphere of natural conditions from where swallows live themselves. In addition, it is also to find out how the sustainable system applied to the design of the Swallow House so that it can be reused by swallow farmers when it is not used. The methods used in this study are qualitative methods, data collection, interviews, resource persons and research. The results will be obtained in the form of the design of the swallow house and the sustainability system applied to the swallow house so that swallow farmers can cultivate swallows and harvest their nests as a source of income. From the results of this research, it is hoped that it can be an illustration and knowledge for swallow farmers in order to implement a system that is suitable for the success of the harvest and provide welfare for the lives of swallow farmers.
